Memorial Day · POW/MIA · Veterans Day
Three times a year this post stops what it is doing and remembers. Everyone is welcome at all of them, and you do not need to be a member or a veteran to stand with us.
Memorial Day
Ceremony at the county cemetery. Formation 0800, ceremony 0900. Full uniform for the Honor Guard; all members welcome.
POW/MIA Recognition Day
Remembrance ceremony and the setting of the missing-man table.
Veterans Day
Ceremony at the post followed by a luncheon in the hall. Open to the public.
Memorial Poppy Drive
Distribution outside the grocery on Main. Two-hour shifts; the sign-up sheet is on the board.
The Memorial Roll
Members who have passed are carried on the Memorial Roll. Their names are read at the next general meeting after we learn of their death, and again each Memorial Day.
His name will be read at the next meeting and added to the Memorial Roll.
