Scholarships

The post funds two essay competitions and a direct scholarship each year, paid from the relief fund and the proceeds of the annual banquet.

Freedom Essay Scholarship

Open to students in grades 9–12. Entrants write and record a short essay on a patriotic theme set each year. The post winner advances to the district competition.

Young Patriots Essay Contest

Open to students in grades 6–8. A written essay on the same year's theme.

How to enter

Entry forms are available from any teacher at the three district schools, or from the post. Deadline is 31 October.
